The New England Belt Sander Racing Association held the 2007 Winter Nationals. I was there to interview some of the entrants and catch some of the action.

Boston Typewriter Orchestra

I interviewed the Boston Typewriter Orchestra at The Paradise Rock Club in Boston. These guys make music using old manual typewriters. I spoke with Derrik Albertelli who told me how the band got started and Alex Holman who talked about making music with a typewriter. I was there during their sound check for a show where they were opening for Boston favorites, The Dresden Dolls. You can hear Amanda Palmer in the backgroud at the start of the interview if you listen closely. This report originally aired on Rocketboom on December 12, 2006.
