Taking a look at Stormhoek, Layer Cake, Herding Cats and Liberty School. I like the Liberty School Cabernet Sauvignon a lot, haven't opened the others.
Have you tried them?

Hey Steve,
Those were 3 great wine choices (even if just for the label) One thing I think that is important to mention is that Layer Cake is produced by Pure Love Vineyards who have some oldest vines in Australia.
Great wine and Great choice.
p.s. Is the Herding Cats from Stellonboch?

I was a waiter for YEARS- a horrible stressful, exhausting job out of which I took only two positive things, a screenplay I am very proud of, and a small knowledge of wine... I actually sold the liberty school cabernet and liked it so much I still drink it... am rushing out to buy the stormhoek... sounds delicious!
and hey! Brian! beverage director at the plaza???? when does it open to the public again... it looks gorgeous and the ceiling in the oak room... wow!

We opened up the Layer Cake with friends and liked it. We'll be getting it again.
Had my first glass of Herding Cats last night too. It was also good. Let me have another to give a final vote on it.
Have you have any?
