Comcast TiVo HD Guide

Click to Play
Checking out the new Comcast Tivo HD Program Guide. Shows in HD are designated by 'HD'. There's also a button to filter out all shows so that only HD shows are displayed, you can also do it via an on screen menu. It took 53 seconds for the screen to refresh. Movies, Kids, Sports, and News come up right away, as does All, but HD takes a long time.

Comcast is aware of the problem and is talking to the hardware manufacturer about a fix.

I wish there was a good way for Comcast to have a conversation about this with me other than having to call on the phone or log in to their chat.

Maybe a web page with known issues?

Call me crazy.

Problems aside, I'm looking forward to the TiVo software for my Comcast DVR. I've still got a Series 2 TiVO that I use all the time, and the software is just far superior to what Comcast offers.

I have had COmcast TiVo on a Motorola box for a week, and despise it. It is incredibly slow, has multiple bugs, and as far as I can tell, has very few advantages over the old guide. For example, it does not appear to show the percentage of the hard drive that is still free. It also doesn't show whether programs are new or repeats. TiVo has lowered its brand into the mud out of pure desperation. Very sad. I'm giving it a few more weeks to see if a software fix shows up, but I'm not holding my breath. Never thought I'd say this, but I actually miss the old plodding comcast guide!
