Vlog Soup: Episode 17

Thanks for coming by to watch Vlog Soup. This week I spent some time recreating an effect from one of the vlogs I'm highlighting. It was fun. You'll see.

Also on YouTube.

Included in this week's free tour of the vlogosphere is John Romeo, he likes featuring short movies and the stories behind them.

From England, it's web video clip show This is a Knife and from LA it's McVlog with my friend Daniel McVicar interviewing Lisa Stone while at Blogher. We have fun with JetSetShow.

We take a look at Daniel Liss' collaborative video project SEVEN MAPS and Amanda Congdon introduces us to Don't be that Guy. We end up with a little music for the FCC. Enjoy!

Length 5:11

John Romeo likes short movies so he gathers them up and shows them at his Romeo Theatre

This is a cute one about a baby owl... awww.

I contacted Daniel and he directed me to the same video hosted on Blip.tv where the CC license he uses allows remixing.

Awesome Steve! I love the collaborative jet pack flying! haha. :)

Wonderful Steve...you are magic!
Thanks for including me in the soup!

Jetpack!

I liked the pastoral set. But where were the Teletubbies? Too overcast?

Hey Zadi, I'll meet you up at 500 feet.

Thanks Daniel. Magic and Final Cut Pro work well together. I feel like I did when MacWrite first came out and I used every single font. Now I'm trying all the effects in FCP!

Ravi, you can borrow the Jetpack. I saw no teletubbies Hmm... Now there's an idea... ;-)

Best episode yet.

My favorite episode of Vlog Soup. I loved the owl, and the skinny Steve disappearing behind the pole.

man, you sure are getting skinny as a pole!

Steve:

Great episode! But, man, you gotta work on your English accident.

Thanks for your helpful suggestion, too, to video blog with just a digital camera. I've done just that, and my first effort is here: http://www.bryper.com/2006/08/12/my-first-video-podcast/

Hey Bryan,
Thanks. I've been working on that accent for years. It's pretty much as good as it gets.

Hey Steve:

Did you try using the crop in the motions tab for 'hiding' behind the green pole? Good segment, it was alot of fun to watch:)

Thanks Rebecca,
I used the crop tool from the tool pallette.

Top shelf! Best episode ever. I like this new direction of doing mockups of the person's show. Sure it'll take longer to get out the show, but hey! Suffer for your ahhht.

If you didn't suffah, the monsta in the fridge might get you.

Thanks for featuring thisisaknife, Steve!

Steve, I liked very much all your parodies.
This episode was fun.
