This fine Irish Beer has finally landed in Beantown. The lightly carbonated, amber in hue ale is a refreshing reminder of how good ale can be. It is now available on tap at quite a few establishments around town (Doyle's, Crossroads, Solas, etc). The only thing to remember if you're making a night of it...drink some water before bed. Smithwick's tends to dry you out some...but perhaps that's because it's so smooth and tasty that you find yourself having quite a few pints before calling it a night.

Kevin Barry's Pub on River Street in Savannah has Smithwick's on tap, and Boddington's as well. Maybe you can talk to them, Bully, about getting it in your pub. I can even get it here in Colorado Springs; you shouldn't have trouble.

I spent 3 months in Dublin last winter and fell in love this beer. My bothers call it a "old mans" beer, but in my humble opinion..best beer in the world. Just wish I could get some in Colorado!! Damn the hypnotic pull of the Rockies!

Gary, you can find Smithwicks all over Rhode Island at any Irish Pub. Ri-Ra's has it in Providence. Aidan's in Bristol and Newport, as well as Mudville Pub in Newport. I think it will be available in September in some stores in 1/4 kegs. I hope it comes out in the CO2 cans like Guinness has...it tastes much better from the tap.
I heard Miller will be the distibutor.

Smithwick's is available in bottles in NY, PA, MA and CT (give or take a few states).
It should be available everywhere by next year.
It was on tap first in NYC, CT, D.C. and Ohio. Now it'll be coming to just about any big Irish pub.
It's pretty much everywhere here in CT.
Great beer, isn't it?

I have a beer meister and would like to know where I can purchase a 1/2 or 1/4 Smithwick's keg. None of the local liquor stores carry it.
I had heard it comes in through Canada to Connecticut. Anyone in Connecticut able to purchase Smithwick's in a keg?
